thomas, darrin, and alexia

thomas haas is a chocolatier here in vancouver. stefan will say the best, a chocolate god.  not long ago he opened a cafe in the kitsalano area much to stefan's happiness.  otherwise, he would make the long drive over the bridge to the north shore to thomas' other cafe. we seem to be in the habit of lounging at thomas' indulging in very good sandwiches, mocha (for stefan), london fog (for kai and i), and his irresistible double almond croissants.

later in the day today, we met up with darrin, alexia, and their little one kara to visit a community festival going on in their neighbourhood but i think we were a tad too late for it.  nevertheless, we enjoyed the sunshine, a new cafe, and some shopping (a very big discount on some purple jackets alexia and i both bought - it was that good!).
