tv dinner

last night stefan and i had a mini date while kai was at his circus class.  stefan prepared a caesar salad (a favourite hy's steakhouse recipe), tossed in some smoked salmon and voila a lovely dinner prepared in minutes. we followed it with some crackers, cheese and sausage.  while we ate we watched dexter.  a perfect mid week evening.

dexter is one of our favourite shows to watch.  but we only watch when we know kai is sound asleep.  if you are familiar with the show then you know that it can be quite graphic with the violence - something we both agree we don't want kai seeing.  and because our little guy can be sneaky, he often magically appears in the living room without our notice, we would rather not take the chance that he walk in on a particularly gruesome scene. then last night stefan had the brilliant idea to watch dexter while kai was at circus class.  why we didn't think of this earlier, i don't know.
