toronto trip highlights, part two

to continue the plethora of photos from our toronto trip...

the science centre was the perfect rainy day activity. it featured a circus exhibit where we could learn how contortionists fit into tiny spaces, how hard it is to walk on a wire, and the science and math behind juggling. the sports exhibit was a hit too, especially since the boys got the chance to race an olympian and a cheetah!

niagara falls was spectacular.  the immediate surrounding area was essentially a theme park - every block had a haunted house or two, fast food restaurants, and kitchy souvenir shops.  we had fun nevertheless, playing in the arcade, ate pizza and ice cream, and enjoyed time at a water park (with a wave pool!). i took the boys on a walk behind the falls - it was quite an adventure to be up close to the falls and very wet!

at home we enjoyed the neighbourhood pool, making tiramisu, and i probably ate double my body weight in tomatoes! seriously. it was all good though. kai had tons of fun with my brothers - chasing each other with water guns, playing soccer, and running about the playground. i was also able to visit with a couple of good friends, brunching and shopping.

rose from my mother's 40 year old rosebush!
