weekend pics

i was a homebody this weekend.  staying in to read, drink tea, watch tv (i am half way into the first season of downton abbey... why did i wait so long?) and reorganize cupboards and drawers.  i stayed cozy through it all in sweats and stefan's big plaid jacket (my favourite indoor weekend uniform these cold days). 

for someone who tends to expect a lot from my weekends, i wasn't too grumpy when i got to the end of sunday and realized i had hardly left the house, i wasn't uber productive, and there were no fun activities.  maybe sometimes a quiet weekend is necessary.  i even cooked dinner from start to finish although it wasn't great...

the boys?  they enjoyed lego-making and video games; stefan cooked a lovely organic chicken soup and kai was on the mountain for a morning.  the boys love being homebodies... when i give them the opportunity :-)

golden globe favorite moments? the women! co-hosts tiny fey and amy poehler were funny and silly and awesome, loved their back and forth banter; jennifer lawrence's sweet and funny speech; the lovely adele; and jodie fosters' incredible speech.  did you watch?
