weekend pics

we had a long (thanksgiving) weekend on the island visiting the lovely melanie and her kiddos.  it was filled with lazy mornings, outings to enjoy the clear skies and delicious meals both at home and out.  under those clear blue skies we strolled in town, wandered in the woods while my niece rode her horse, we visited a pumpkin patch, and we hung out at the beach.  oh, and we met the cutest little (well, huge actually!) guinea pig, he's a new addition to melanie's family.

this weekend exemplified exactly what i am grateful for - a beautiful place to live, an amazing family nearby, good food to eat, and furry little creatures to cuddle.  but most of all, i have those two guys of mine.  the absolute best.  i am a lucky girl.
