happy holiday tradition...


we have a few traditions around the holidays and our favourite is to hunt for and cut down our very own christmas tree...  there's usually christmas music playing, hot chocolate and hotdogs to roast.  but since we arrived in stockholm, it has been put on hold as i haven't been able to find a place in which to cut our tree and we're pretty bummed about it.  

but, we have a new tradition while in stockholm - going to the same public square near our home to carefully peruse the trees before choosing the one and walk our tree home.  on the way, we'll make a stop for a fika. i think we've done pretty well.  then, at home, the christmas box comes out and we i dress the tree, adding a couple of new scandinavian ornaments to the mix.  loving christmas music as i do, it's nice to have it playing and maybe a mug of blueberry tea nearby too :-)

we are in holland visiting amsterdam and my in-laws for the holidays.  have a bright and cozy christmas.  i'll see you back here in the new year.
