stockholm weekend pics, snow filled

we have gotten some snow these last couple of days.  not the downfall we received just a few weeks ago but enough to make everything look pretty.  i do believe wintry landscapes are the prettiest.  don't you?

and just in time too, on saturday, in snowy wetness we shopped for our julbord menu - a swedish christmas smorgasbord. that evening with snow still falling we enjoyed herring prepared three ways, (curried, in mustard, and pickled), cured salmon, västerbottensostt (swedish cheese must be part of the julbord), simple boiled potatoes, and pickles served with knacker bread.  all the while watching our first christmas movie of the season, santa clause

on sunday, i thought we were going to gamla eskede for their christmas market but i mixed up the dates so when we arrived there was no market...

oh well, we had snow and enjoyed the winter wonderland walking around the neighbourhood - so pretty. everything rested under a blanket of snow. i just love this little part of sweden with its colourful houses and curving roads.

with my hair ends frosty and our cheeks red, we warmed up at the local bakery for fika. we then began to wonder, should we move here, it's so quaint, the bakery is cozy, small town feel yet just 20 minutes from where we now live.  who knows what the future holds, really... but isn't it wonderful to loose yourself for just a moment :)

you will have to bear with me, i took alot of photos...

hope you had a lovely weekend!  oh, and peek here for gamla eskede just as the fall was ending.
