stockholm weekend pics, the perfect summer day

we planned the perfect summery day...

a bike ride to gelato scarfo, located in a quaint neighbourhood ålsten in bromma, where we lined up for some really good ice cream... just like in italy!   it's the kind of place that uses fresh fruit and flavours adapt to the season. the hazelnuts and pistachios are imported from italy. vanilla actually made from vanilla beans. etc.

don't miss this little gem but plan your trip wisely and try to arrive before the long queues.

then just down the way, we lounged by the lake at solviksbadet beach. by stockholm standards, it's beach is large... and sandy!

nearing dinner time now, we rode back into stockholm towards mälarpaviljongen. it's one of my favourite outdoor places to eat. lots of stockholm specialties on the menu; herring for stefan, meatballs for kai and a salmon salad for me. 

it's always hard not to pick a little something up from their garden shop...

i would love to have this summer day on repeat!
