weekend pics

the outdoors this weekend was lovely; sunny and crisp.  the perfect weekend weather for a farmers market visit and a little walk by the beach.
this weekend was the first of the winter's farmers market.  we met up with our friends, dan and family. i was amazed by the abundance; fruit, veggies, happy meat, honey, jams, pies, bread, etc.  we left with a little of everything.  our dinners this weekend consisted mostly of our purchases at the market, all local and organic.  delicious!  afterward we spent some time at a cafe. although there were cafes close to the market, the boys (aka stefan) chose to drive out to thomas haas instead.  we ate well, especially good was the 'special' dessert bar made up of chocolate, hazelnuts, and caramel!

saturday night's dinner

 

sunday night's dinner; it doesn't look too appetizing but it was really, really, good!  i haven't had pork in years but when we came across happy pig being sold at the market, stefan knew i would break my rule about eating pig (happy pig is hard to come by!).

on sunday, we simply had to get out of the house and enjoy the weather (we've been remarkably lucky this fall!).  jericho beach park was gorgeous. we met up with our friends darrin, alexia, and kara (posted about them here, here, here, and here) for a little walk by the duck pond and where the bunnies like to hang out too!
