pizza + gorgonzola

homemade pizzas are always a thing of goodness.  and when the recipe for the dough comes from cook's illustrated magazine you know it will be labour intensive.

now over to stefan for some of the details:

"as usual, their recipe is serious. it features whole wheat flour and they strongly suggest that the dough rest overnight. they insist on pre-heating a pizza stone in a 500F oven for at least one hour and giving it an extra blast of heat from the broiler before putting the pizza on it. this gets as close to using a commercial pizza oven as possible using a regular stove.  the result was a great crust with the right amount of crispy outside and chewy interior."

the result was well worth the stefan's effort.   and choosing toppings is fun too... anything goes and for one of the pizzas we went with gorgonzola cheese.

more gorgonzola please!

we smeared gorgonzola on one of the pizzas and kai doesn't mind it at all.  the gorgonzola reminded me of our 'i love you more' games... i love you more than 100 x 47, i love you more than the highest building in the world... you know the one.  i often told him that i loved him stinky-er than gorgonzola cheese.

kai's 'i love you stronger than superman' was my favourite - art piece from 3-4 years ago
