he is a wild and funny and sweet boy. he loves listening to evanescence and knows the words to the songs - there's nothing better than an ipod wearing kai singing along and rocking out. he drums like there's no tomorrow and is a wizard at math. he reads fantasy fiction books; it's what he is doing instead of sleeping. kai easily gets lost in his own little world. he follows his own path. he is strong-willed. he still gets mistaken for a girl - we have a giggle each time it happens. he lives his life with curiosity and fearlessness. he is a beautiful boy.
today we celebrate by eating cupcakes and shopping for toys and dining on steak. then, on saturday, a knightly birthday bash.
