kai the miner

kai, just days before halloween, finally decided he wanted to dress up as a miner.  he was inspired by his time on the beach 'pick axing' dirt and rock on the side of a cliff.  in lieu of overalls (hard to find for a 10 year old) i bought him suspenders and although he wanted a real pick axe, he made due with a homemade one :)  some smudge on this face and $6 jeans from the thrift store he transformed into a miner (not bob the builder, just saying).

he went trick-o-treating with his pals and came home with a bag of candy.  he obediently handed over the chips to his chip addicted mama :)  kai and i ate as much as we possibly could - it was a gluttonous feast, i admit - and then called it a night.  i wouldn't be surprised if we develop tummy aches today :)

hope you had a wonderful halloween too.  here are a few past halloween posts if you haven't already read them: halloween last year, costume inspiration, haunted laughs, and the candy conundrum.  have a lovely weekend.
