stockholm weekend pics, rålambshovsparken

it's a sunny saturday and rålambshovsparken is packed with people.  a big grassy park, right by the lake, with room for everyone. relaxing and playing with friends is always the best way to pass the time.  we spread our blanket and picnic with all the trimmings - including the delicious egg pie patrizia made.  and she also brought tiny candles with the hopes of making s'mores, so cute.  with a little patience it kinda worked, the kiddos loved it.

the boys mostly played in the skate park but rålambshovsparken has a wonderful playground too and the smedsuddsbadet beach nearby.  although we hoped to wade into the lake it was still much too cold for our liking, maybe july will be better for a swim.  next time, i want to play boule (bocce!) as they have a boule bar right there in the park.  so awesome.

rålambshovsparken is located on kungsholmen island, just opposite långholmen island. there's a nice route to the park along söder mälarstrand and over the västerbron bridge from södermalm.  we cycled there and the views from the bridge are quite wonderful, gazing at kungsholmen, gamla stan and södermalm... picture perfect.

just like that sundays have become pancake sundays with kai playing chef.  it's so lovely to watch him busy away in the kitchen. and, his pancakes are always delicious!

and, there was kai's last soccer match of the season, they finally got a win!

there is always time for fika on a weekend :)
