our first stop was the herrängens gård, a farm house next to långsjön ("long lake") serving delicious foods and pastries made in-house. we filled our bellies with västerbotten pie (a swedish cheese pie), a gorgeous wrap with beef and potatoes, and of course kanelbulle which was drizzled with caramel.
we then walked along långsjön towards the swimming spot, on the other end of the lake. it is here where we whiled away hours, me enjoying the sunshine and my boys enjoying the water with a deck to jump off and a rope swing. boys couldn't ask for anything more! there's also a little beach area that kai deemed only for little ones so we hung out on the rocks by the decks.
the southern part of the lake is mostly private property, lined with wooden houses. it looks pretty idyllic.
