it was a quiet weekend, i felt no need to venture outdoors.
instead, we had friends over on saturday night. stefan made a huge pot of ramen noodles with lovely toppings and we ended up watching charlie and chocolate factory with the kiddos.
on sunday, kai and i pigged out on pumpkin pie. kai and i had an annual tradition of going to the pumpkin patch at the richmond country farms and we always ended our visit with a slice of pumpkin pie. so, when i finally spotted pumpkin puree at the local shop, i picked up a few cans. i made a vegan version by minimalist baker... kai was skeptical but he agrees, "it's so good, mom".
lately, when i cook dinner, it's been vegan and kai's eaten up everything i've cooked up but stefan has passed on a dish or two including the pie. he's crazy ;)
