on saturday we stayed close to home, putting christmas to rest... lights came down, ornaments packed away, and tree chipped; walked along the beach to allow kai some longboard time; and visited the farmer's market.
and sunday was all about being in a winter wonderland... much to kai's delight. he was like a puppy dog eager to get out of the car and start frolicking in the snow! it was snowing on the local mountains (it was gorgeous up there and not too cold) and so we headed to cypress for some snowshoeing followed by warm drinks at mink café.
