one of the best things about fall is the ambrosia apple. it's sweet, juicy, and crisp. perfection, in my opinion.
i recently learned that it originates right here in british columbia's similkameen valley (read about it here). kai and i once discovered fresh-pressed ambrosia juice at the winter farmer's market and it was the BEST apple juice we've ever had. i can't wait to get my hands on more!
i just did some searching and for the next three saturdays golden west farms will be at the trout lake farmer's market... maybe they'll have their ambrosia juice available? otherwise, i will patiently wait for the winter market.
