we love our christmas tree.
along the canal, a christmas tree pop up market arrived for the holidays. after perusing the trees, we settled on the one, maybe a little too big but its shape was perfection. i convinced my boys and then it was ours.
once home, after a snowball fight or two, we enjoyed the tree bare with a few lights. i am tempted to leave it that way but my boys want our baubles on display. i know i will give in, i love decorating the tree and reminiscing about where our baubles come from... picked up on travels, received as gifts, bought here in stockholm and brought with us from vancouver.
a mix of old and new, with she and he or ella fitzgerald playing christmas songs and a mug of tea nearby.
until then, we pause. leave the decorating for a new day to greet us. it's far lovlier this way, christmas-ing slowly, bit by bit. light stringing one day, oranaments the next.
loki approves too :)
