haircut

i love kai’s hair longish.  it suits him.  whenever I cut his hair I instantly regret it.  kai, on the other hand, likes getting it cut and he always asks that it be styled into a mohawk.  he tells me that when he is 16 he will get his hair cut into a true mohawk.  when he is 16… i don’t want to think about that right now!

update. while in toronto in mid-august, guess what happened?  kai was mistaken for a girl as predicted.  he was chatting with a woman about her cute little dog and she referred to him by the female pronoun.  my sister was there to witness it and she was flabbergasted too!
