from our new place, we can take a ferry to djurgården! seeing how rosendals is my favourite place, the convenience of a ferry makes me very happy.
at rosendals trädgård, right in the middle of the vegetable field, we listened to music and ate deliciously. their harvest plate was made up of roasted veggies, olive oil grilled bread, and vegan sausage with a magic dressing. so tasty.
fika, a must of course, was served from the little greenhouse on the field. it really doesn't matter what you choose for dessert but i highly recommend the cardamom cake.
children played with wheelbarrows and haystacks... made me nostalgic for the days when kai was so little.
we bought a loaf of bread from the wood oven, a jar of homemade jam (we can't eat it fast enough, it bursts with flavour) and devoured some flatbreads.
we visited the farm shop where i picked up a cute little vase for a friend and a harvest fest poster for me (it's now framed and i LOVE it).
the garden greenhouse, which i wish for one day, is always inspiring to visit. and the grounds, well, i could spend all day capturing it with my camera.
walking back towards the ferry, we took our time and explored some streets we don't usually get to when we are on the island...
and, we some how took the long way home via the ferry but we didn't mind, it was such a lovely day to sit on a boat with the sun on our faces, enjoying these views.
it was a pretty perfect day... hope your weekend was a lovely one too.
