cozy at home opening presents, playing civilization again and again, watching movies (love actually!), eating and eating... on christmas day, stefan cooked a feast of roast pork cooked for hours, janssen tempation potato dish, brussel srpouts sprinkled with parmessan and a green salad

kai and i returned from our toronto trip (look for a post in the next few days).  and while it is always nice to be away, we are happy to be home although kai wishes he could have brought back his cousins, Noah and Jonah, with him.

while we were flying stefan spent his day cooking and baking.  we had a lovely meal of chicken with chick peas full of flavour from honey, cinnamon, coriander and so much more. it was moroccan goodness, i say! and home made cherry pie for dessert.  we know, we are lucky!

kai and i have both been fighting the sniffles for most of our time away.  we spent our first day home in pyjamas playing with his new board game (from papa!) stratego, cuddling on the sofa reading, eating more cherry pie (for lunch!), staying hydrated (popsicles!), laughing at curious george's antics, and medicating ourselves (a last resort).  kai also napped (a rarity) while i tended to the laundry (not a rarity).
