kai: loki always seeks kai out :)

stockholm weekend pic: october at home

1. lordags godis / saturday candy... a swedish thing that kai and i sometimes indulge in. our favourite are sour candy :)

2. on october 4th swedes celebrate the cinnamon bun... but my favourite is the cardamom bun.

3. thanksgiving with our friends ximena, petter, and their girls. it's always good food thanks to stefan and cecelia too, she supplied the dessert. it was all delicious :)

4. our outings these days take stefan and i to södermalm where a stop at sébastien på söder is a must!

5. after months and months on route, i finally received my beauty goodies from suji's instagram shop!!! love everything :)

9. my birthday... prezzies, spring onion scones, flowers, my favourite chicken cutlet sandwiches, and boys doing clean up after dinner... perfect (insert heart emoji here).

10. birthday tiramisu for breakfast... it has coffee and eggs in it :)

12. bedroom makeover... kai wanted darker colours in his room so we painted a wall, bought new bedsheets, added curtains, a new bedside table, and shelving too. all in black, gray, taupe colours (photos to follow soon).

it was a very relaxed month but sometimes those are necessary and very much needed.

travelogue: a birthday weekend on the island of sandhamn

keeping to tradition, stefan and i went away for my birthday. our one night and two days on sandhamn, an idyllic village in the outer archipelago, was bliss. with a party scene vibe during the summer, on the off season, there with few people. it was peaceful and relaxing. 

we walked and walked around the island, one day this way and the next that way. of course, being sweden, there was an evening of sauna-ing and floating in the heated pool. we also booked the outdoor hot tub… it was so dark, we almost didn't find it. but once settled in, with proseco in hand and a light snow, it was pretty perfect.
