gathered around the table laden with good food and a bunch of swedes, i was feeling grateful. kai has made the best friends and to top it off, the (step) parents are pretty awesome too.
it was such a lovely evening eating an inordinate amount of delicious food - i laugh at the colour-coordinated shade of beige that exists... turkey, stuffing, smashed potatoes... but we did serve carrots and a green salad too so not an entirely neutral palette!
and, they liked my pumpkin pie, or being nice about it... it was vegan after all :)
