we spent the weekend preparing for a thanksgiving feast... the most delicious stuffing, the perfect farmer's market corn, a sixteen pound turkey cooked moist, homemade turkey stock made by a husband to please a wife's request for awesome gravy, the best creamy mashed potatoes, and harissa carrots.
a house full of activity, warm from the sun outside - i am so grateful for these sunny october days. there is something nice about preparing your home and food to share with others. after all, that's what thanksgiving is all about... hunkering down with friends, family and good food.
we kept good company, our swedish neighbours - who have never eaten a turkey (!) - and of course, our sweetest friends.
to our canadian friends and family, we hope you all enjoyed your thanksgiving festivities.
