i found this home on a cup of jo (you should know this blog if you don't, it's a favourite!).  i love how open and fresh it feels.  and i admit, the hits of josef frank from svenskt tenn found throughout the house won me over.  i love his prints (see post here)!  and in the bathroom too!  so pretty.

back to routine

i am enjoying being at home again after much travel.  now i just want to take it easy, eat good home-cooked dinners, fluff the pillows, and start watching the netflix series stranger things - i have heard such wonderful things about it that i expect stefan and i to binge watch.

i will take some time to find our autumn/back to school routine and begin the process of going through the ton of photos from our summer travels in order to prepare some posts. the above photo is of two of my favourite purchases from our time in the dalarna area, the land of the dala horse and all things swedish.  cute, right?

i have some posts planned to take us through to the end of summer... enjoy these sunny days.

this apartment in warsaw, poland is gorgeous!  i especially love the hits of green.  having just returned from ireland, scotland and wales and seeing 50 shades of green everywhere i looked i want to incorporate it into my own home!  i especially love the wallpaper in the kitchen.  i'm swooning!

and those herringbone wood floors? my dream flooring.  all of it is inspiring...

have a lovely weekend!  my guys and i are off for one last adventure before kai is back at school on monday.  the weather isn't supposed to be great but hanging out by the lake in northern sweden still sounds pretty sweet to me - we'll bring board games and books and rain gear too.  happy friday everyone.

home sweet home

i love coming home after travelling as much as i do travelling!  such a sweet feeling to be among the familiar and comfort of home.  but travelling, oh my!  to stroll around and happily observe my surroundings, where ever i might be, is just the best.  and doing so with my guys is even better.  and when friends join in, well, that's icing on the cake.  

i am ever so grateful to have the opportunity to explore, observe, and immerse myself in an array of cultures.  i love the excitement of arriving somewhere new, experiencing something new, tasting something new.  the latter, experiencing a new culture through their cuisine, is my favourite!

detaching from my day to day, getting out of my comfort zone - i'm bit of an indoor cat - is a good thing.  it inspires me, makes me feel more adventurous, and makes coming home all the sweeter.
