happiness on mother's day :)

after a loungy breakfast that included flowers and strawberries on beschuit (the best), we headed outside for a long walk around the lake and ended with a stop at göteborg for drinks and shrimp. 

my kind of day.

stockholm weekend pics, our old 'hood

over the bridge into södermalm, we biked, this time we hung out in our old neighborhood, by mariatorget. it's an area we strolled often when we lived by götgatan and we miss it very much (i really, really tried to find a home here when we had to move, to no avail).

we fika-ed at johan och nystrom, a frequent hang-out when we lived here, especially for stefan who loves their coffee. 

we visited some favourite shops, brandstation for their swoon-worthy vintage design items, gamla amsterdam for cheese, nitty gritty for clothing (they have two shops next door to one another, one for men and one for women), papercut for books and magazines which i love browsing, and herr och fru for gorgeous jewelry. and, we stopped by shoeline, a sneaker shop, i finally got rid of my old converse, it was time. 

and then, there was more fika at petrus, another local bakery (they are one of the best bakeries to make bread).

LOVE strolling södermalm, i could make it a weekend thing as there are many more places to visit not mentioned above. until next time...
