it was a gorgeous long weekend.
in the neighbourhood:
the cheese truck came to the neighbourhood where we picked up some goodies.
we had fika at our favourite bakery, magnus johansson, as per usual.
we dined at the brewery, nya carnegie, outside, on their spacious patio with a view.
cooking at home:
dutch babycakes has become a breakfast staple around here lately.
salmon from our local "salmon" guy, broccolini that i can't always find at the supermarket so when i do i pick some up because kai and i LOVE it, and sausage rolls that stefan has been wanting to make for a looong time, glad he did :)
while i work, stefan brings me treats... gin and tonic, crackers and cheese too.
the butter chicken (we first tried it in florence) is the best way to cook chicken breast, DELISH!
on södermalm:
stopped by the saluhall for treats from sebastien; the bulle pictured below was eye-rolling good. as i tried to take a selfie with it, sebastien popped into the frame and startled me :)
strolled the lovely streets, popping into shops.
we had ice cream too. stefan's is from stikki nikki and mine is from gelato caput mundi. both are very good.
before catching the boat back home, we stopped into bleck for a couple of gin and tonics :)
i love a day like this.
in nacka, i am always happy to return to ximena and petter's place. i love all the details, sitting in their garden, the closeness to nature, their warmth, the good food (today it was fish tacos!), and their little neighbour cat who comes to visit.
since we bike everywhere now, i put on my mask for the uber ride |
hope you had a lovely weekend too, with a gin and tonic or two :)
