stockholm with h&m, skeppsholm island

the best way to experience a city is by walking... and walking we did.  stefan's parents, harm and marion, had us out the door for a daily walk during the week they stayed with us.  

our first walk took us on a search for a crown.  so, we walked along the seawall towards skeppsholm island.  the island is connected to the main city via a bridge.  on a rail in the middle of an ordinary bridge we found the crown.  of course, we took photos.

we walked around the small island which is located between gamla stan and djurgarden.  skeppsholm was once the shipyard for the navy and has many military buildings.  as we made our way around the island, we stopped in the quaint skeppsholm hotel for a warm drink and treats.  it was freezing outside as the pic of the boys illustrates... with frozen smiles they couldn't stand still for the picture!

we ended each of our daily walks, at home, with a cup of warm glogg and treats.  tomorrow, part two and three of our stockholm walking tour.
