and just like that it was springtime. some warmth, greens and blossoms. it was the perfect time to take our first ride in stockholm. we set out late in the afternoon to adventure in langholmen, an island not far from sodermalm. it's a green oasis that we soon found out is meant for walking but we managed nevertheless with our bikes (double tracking, finding and loosing the paved roads, hiking bikes up stairs). the whole place smelled like lilacs. we found a beach and sat enjoying the sunshine as if it never snowed and we were never once cold wrapped up in hats and scarfs. feeling grateful for the seasons, stockholm's too long winter making way for all things new again.
