lovö magasin, what a gem. ewa is a friendly woman sharing her joy of cooking with whomever wants to show up at her farm on a saturday afternoon.
she told us that as a little girl she'd spend her days in the kitchen with her grandmother learning to cook with fresh ingredients, making cakes and sausages from scratch. the afternoon we were there, she had a buffet of salads on offer along with home-made sausages. her sausages are all organic - stefan loved the spicy boar - and her vegetables and fruits come from local growers. it was simple yet satisfyingly delicious.
in the farm shop you can by their honey and chutneys. they sell sweets too! as well as other cute flea market finds.
after lunch, while stefan napped, kai and i meandered one of the trails taking in the wonderful atmosphere of country life.
then we retraced our steps back to the bus stop, a long trek made longer because the bus we hoped to take to and from doesn't run on weekends until the summer months. but really, we couldn't complain, look at that scenery!
then we ate more delicious food at a friend's home, vancouverites who told us about lovö magasin! hope you had a wonderful weekend filled with good food, friends and sunny skies too.
