weekend pics, part 1 (the birthday party)

it was the perfect summer afternoon with yummy food (i.e. pizza and a very chocolaty cake) and amazing friends (and family this year... thank you melanie and india for coming over and spending the weekend with us!)!  trampoline jumping, soccer playing, and science fun made for a great party... kai was in his glory.

i love throwing parties for my boy... i wonder if he'll let me do these things when he's 16?

the mad scientist was awesome with the kids... he taught them about electricity and fireworks and they made bouncy balls and cotton candy!!!!  all is good when cotton candy is in the room!!!
